GIF Animation:
GIF animation is simple to make. You can use GIF animation normally with available tools as there is no programming needed, no plug in are required. You can also use the regular tag to display this GIF animation on your web page. A GIF animation is basically a single GIF89a file that is composed of a sequence of individual still images plus some timing information. Playing these images made from GIF animation in sequence gives the result of motion much like one of those flipbooks that you possibly made as a kid. There is also such free animation available on the net.
To make GIF animation and how to optimize them there are two goals for designing best animated designs:
First, select colors that will display fit on a selection of computer monitors, browsers and platforms for your animated GIF.
Second, design GIF animation that can compress well to small file sizes so they are downloaded quickly.
You will need some software to make your GIF animation like a graphics program to make the individual images, a GIF animation program to assembly the images into a single GIF89a file and add the timing information. You will need a compression program to compact the GIF animation file. Some GIF animation programs include this function so you may not need a separate program. There are several good animations available for animated GIF online to download from.
GIF Animator is one of the best Microsoft PC program. It is very basic free animated GIFs. Some limits are it can only import GIF images. A work around to import bmp, jpg of tif files is to copy the non GIF animation file to the clipboard and paste it into GIF Animator. The viewer sometimes has problem displaying compressed animations. It has no optimization purpose but it is free.
